These terms cover this website and the free tools on it. They do not cover the SynapticRelay product, which has not launched; if and when you get early access, that will come with its own agreement.

The free tools

The deadline calculator and the other tools here are free, need no account, and are provided as they are. You can use them for your own work, commercial or not. We think the date arithmetic is correct and we've tested it carefully — but you are responsible for your own deadlines. Check the output against your contract. Don't let a free web tool be the only thing standing between your company and a renewal.

The guides are not legal advice

We write about contract renewals, notice periods, and — on one page — US state auto-renewal statutes. This is operational reference for people who own contracts, not legal advice, and we are not your lawyers. The law varies by jurisdiction and contract, it changes, and some of what we describe is genuinely unsettled — where that's true, we say so on the page. For a decision that matters, talk to a lawyer.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from your use of this site, its tools, or its guides — including a missed deadline, a renewed contract, or a decision made on something you read here. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

The waitlist

Joining the waitlist is not a purchase and creates no obligation on either side. Any pricing shown is planned pricing for a product that has not launched, and it may change before it does. We invite teams in signup order. You can ask to be removed at any time.

Content

The writing, code, and design here are ours. Quote us, link to us, and share the letter template — that's what it's for. Don't republish the articles wholesale as your own.
