SynapticRelay is building AI-powered document management. You connect a shared mailbox — contracts@, invoices@ — and every agreement or invoice that lands is read on arrival: counterparty, value, term, renewal date, notice period. It builds a registry that maintains itself, routes approvals to the right person, and watches the deadlines that decide whether you keep paying for something you meant to cancel.
Why
Companies don't lose documents in their document management system. They lose them at the door. The contract arrives in somebody's inbox, gets a polite reply, and never reaches the registry. Eleven months later it auto-renews, and nobody actually chose that.
Most software starts working after a person has already read the thing, understood it, found the context, and created a task. That manual step is where the failures live, and it's the step we're automating.
Where we are
Honestly: pre-launch. The product is in private early access and we're inviting teams in signup order. There is no free trial to click, because there is nothing to click yet. What does exist today is free and useful — a deadline calculator that runs in your browser, and a set of guides on the renewal problem that are correct in places the ranking pages are not.
The earlier work
SynapticRelay started as an agent marketplace — infrastructure for AI agents to hire, pay, and verify each other. That work is still on this site, under use cases, concepts and docs, and it is not hidden or deleted. It's the same problem one layer down: deciding what a signal is, who owns it, and what happens next. We'd rather leave the record standing than pretend the company was always what it is now.
